Medivet Speke

My little man is so frightened of the vet and I think as a lockdown puppy had just associated the vet with something really negative. But the team clearly have a passion for animals and treated him so well during our recent, really respected his boundaries and worked with him to provide a positive experience while building on that trust to give him the best care and check up. Honestly thank you so much!!

Caring staff and vets, you can feel their love and dedication to the animals they treat and care for. Would recommend.

My review would be zero stars if that was an option, alas it isn't so one star it is. Terrible vet practice and their complaints procedure takes months. They say to contact them if you want to discuss problems, yet although they admit their mistake they won't pay a small amount to cover the cost of a vet appointment and test that was needed after their negligence. They wouldn't even reply to the VCMS when they tried to resolve the issue on my behalf. I will be warning everyone to steer clear of this company who are incompetent, put profits before our precious pets and have shown no care or compassion when they made a mistake which caused suffering and distress to my pet and our family. I can only recommend taking your pets elsewhere if you want the best for them.

I can't thank Medivet Speke enough. They kept the practice open late for me when I called at 17:00 upset because my dog was poorly. They were amazing throughout his treatment and the Vet Alexander even worked through his lunch hour the next day to fit us in when he needed more urgent treatment. All the staff were friendly and helpful and my dog was always happy to see them on subsequent visits (he's a very good judge of character). Thank you so much your kindness it was very much appreciated. Diablo is doing much better now he's free from the cone of shame. Natalie and Diablo.

Our dachshund Chip went for his 6 monthly healthcare check last week... he's a very nervous dog but Alexander spent time reassuring him in the waiting room before his check up...got to say it's the calmest Chip has been in All his visits 💥👍 Thank You...

I’m posting a 3 star review after my visit yesterday. Firstly my cat is fine, is cared for and attends monthly for a dose of a drug for Arthritis. Service has been great. Yesterday our usual bill was nearly £30 more expensive. No warning. In addition to the injection there is now an additional consultation fee ( we are in there literally 2minutes.) I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the new partners but would have been nice to have this explained. Have since learned all the others vets ( locum’s for past 9 months) have made a mistake and not charged the consult fee. It is right. After attending Medivet for 8 years the time has come to look elsewhere which is a shame.

A huge THANK YOU to the wonderful staff at Medivet Speke and Alder hospital for saving the life of my furry friend Logan. He was in agony with a blocked bladder , and would have died without prompt treatment. He is now back home enjoying his garden and special diet. Well done indeed Medivet !
